These statistics are based on energy efficiency information from Dell and Apple, and the average California energy price of $0.12 per kilowatt hour.
Computer Specifications.
The HybridOne is a semi-customizable desktop pc. It comes with a 2.5 Ghz Intel Core-2 processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 14x DVD ROM, a 500GB Western Digital Caviar Green HD, and Windows XP. To make purchasing easier and to focus on energy efficiency and lowing electric bills, the customer had a choice to add a keyboard and mouse, monitor (including Viewsonic´s eco-mode VX model), or wifi card, and can purchase carbon offsets for their purchase at $20 to make their order carbon neutral (provided by our partnership with CarbonFund.org). Each computer ships with Edison power management software, you can further manage your usage.
